Be your best at the Peacebridge Memorial

REGISTRATION OPENS JUNE 21ST

The North American Overpower League (NAOL) annually hosts the Peacebridge Memorial in memory of Ed Kowalewski, a former pillar in the Overpower community who passed away suddenly in early 2022.

The Peacebridge Memorial is the only “all-inclusive” event on the NAOL’s schedule. The event promises plenty of Overpower gaming, fun, food, beverages, prizes, and more. The registration fee remains the same as last year, at $80 USD, with $50 going towards cash prizes and the remainder helping to offset food and beverage costs. It is held annually on the grounds of our home, affectionately called the “Xmansion” by the many players who have competed in our basement Danger Room. The address is 4325 Briarwood Ave, Niagara Falls, Ontario, L2E 5W2. We are just minutes away from the Falls, major hotels, casinos, and other popular attractions. The location is 28 minutes from the border at the Peace Bridge.

This year, the Peacebridge Memorial will be held in conjunction with LRG’s Canadian Regional. The 2 1/2-day affair promises to be a weekend for the ages

The festivities begin on Friday,July 31st, at 6:00 p.m. with our Player and Companion Welcoming Reception at the Xmansion event tent. Beverages, hors d'oeuvres, and snacks will be available throughout the evening. This social affair is a great opportunity to relax, meet fellow players, build friendships, and enjoy the company of the Overpower community. Players are welcome to bring their decks for pickup games in the event tent.

The LRG Canadian Regional will be held on Saturday August 1st at the XX conference facility in Niagara Falls. Details of the Regional can be found on the LRG website or on Topdeck.gg Overpower events hub at https://topdeck.gg/overpower

The Peacebridge Memorial tournament will be held on August 2nd. The main event starts at 10:00 a.m. sharp with seven rounds of Swiss play. The top 8/12/16 players will advance to a single elimination championship final. A “second chance” single elimination tournament will take place concurrently with the Top cut championship final. . Players can make changes to their decks or switch decks entirely for this event. Entry fee for the** “Second Chance”** is $10, all of which goes to the prize pool.

Capacity restricts us to a 48 player maximum. Register early to save your spot. Additional players will be placed on a waiting list.

Participants are welcome to pitch tents, or park campers and RVs on the property. Since Niagara Falls is Canada's top tourist destination, consider bringing your partner, your kids, and spending a few extra days to enjoy what the region has to offer.

It is a party atmosphere with a friendly, yet competitive vibe. This year’s Peacebridge Memorial promises to be bigger, better, and even more fun.
